We are still trying to take my daughter's dog Bug to the beach over Winter on the odd non rainy day.
Oyster catcher birds at the edge of the high tide looking for tasty morsels that have washed up.
The remains of an old pier at the edge of the tide and river that goes out into the ocean.
Looking across the beach to the other side.
But was sniffing new smells for the week and checking out rocks with us.
Lots of old empty mussell shells covered in barnacles. Usually this beach is covered in driftwood and old tree stumps and branches. Sometimes people bring their cars and trailers here and chop up wood to take home.

There’s a quiet poetry in the tide’s leftovers—barnacled shells, driftwood, and stumps—each piece a fragment of time, reshaped by the sea and repurposed by people.
I like the remains of that old pier.
Great shots of the beach!
The remains of that pier hold a quiet beauty.
The old pier looks rather other-worldly, doesn't it!

You have captured the ambiance beautifully in pictures and words!
The pier remains are very photogenic. Good place for a winter's walk.
That's a great beach. I love the arms on the old pier post - looks like it's dancing.
That's a very pleasing beach to roam for Bug and you
Une très belle et très paisible balade automnale. Comme à l'accoutumée les photos sont très réussies
What a nice beach and the remains of the pier are a pleasant reminder of days gone by.
...these are gorgeous images, Amy.
WOW great pictures.
There seems to always be things to see (and smell) at the beach. It looks like this might have been a chilly day.
The old pier -remains are wow.
Great shots of the beach. You can almost smell it.
